My boyfriend is a big metal head, and I want to include love songs of heavy metals in our wedding. Any suggestions?
My boyfriend is a metal fan die hard, especially the 80's thrash metal. He loves bands like Pantera, Slayer, (old, before the Black Album) Metallica, Suicidal Tendencies, Black Sabbath, so I want to make sure his music is represented largely in our wedding, but we're afraid of offending some of our family and friends. I know our grandparents, certainly do not approve of "Pantera Cemetery Gates", which is the love song my boyfriend just suggested so far. I love his music, like his friends, but many people consider noise. I also like the songs to love songs, or songs with a positive message. Unfortunately, a lot of metal songs tend to emphasize the negative, and the use of dark images to get their messages. Does anyone know of any good heavy metal love songs that my grandfather used to give a heart attack?
I would definitely use "Nothing Else Matters" by Metallica. It is a love song, the lyrics are powerful, And is a soft metal song, so it will not scare anyone.
