Camera Flash Instruction Manual
I have a PowerShot A40 digital camera, how can I turn the flash off?
I do not have the instruction manual and I have to turn off flash.
First of all, in the U.S. Canon can call Tech Support at 1-800 OK-Canon. I call at least once a month for technical support. You can also order A new manual on its Web site (www.usa.canon.com). Now for the details, I do not have that model, but most work the same. There should be a button with a squiggly line with an arrow on the end (looks like lightning). If you press several times, passing through the flash functions: Normal, fill (always) Red-Eye-reduction and, finally, out of which seem to lightenting bolt again, but with a circle with a line through it.
