Gitzo Mountaineer Tripod

Your opinion about carbon fiber tripod ...?
I'm thinking about buying a lightweight Gitzo as I will be taking pictures in the mountain / hiking / Bkpkng travel. But I am told that the light CF tripod (like the GT-0530 I was thinking of buying) are not used as soon as the wind is present. My body is EOS 5D and lenses is the EF 17-40 mm Zoom f/4L USM and EF 100-400 mm 4.5-5.6 L IS USM. For $ 400 a tripod, I expected to do the work in windy conditions slightly for lenses ... In any case, the official question is: Are those superlight tripod is only useful in conditions yet and if not, what would minimum weight for the tripod that allows me to use those lenses I have? Thanks! Thanks for the tip of kids backpack. However, make so light CF tripod as 0.7 kg so far only seems to me that even with some counterbalance, there would be a limit to how little tripod should weigh ... Any climbers there? What do you take in your travels?
I used a Benro (C-228), which supposedly has the same specifications as the Gitzo (1258 or GT-2530?) They have been very impressed with his performance with some of these wind ... I was heavy with a Mamiya RZ67 with a wide angle lens, however, recommend that you use that hook couterbalance to hang your backpack or something. I would avoid the light Benro (C-028) or perhaps the equivalent Gitzo ... I saw the arc of the legs, so the models can only be light enough for an SLR camera with a slight zoom. I ordered the special Benro BH Photo. GT-0530 seems to support more weight than the light Benro (C-028) ... if anywhere near the specification C-028, I would say that his performance would be marginally acceptable with your lenses in light wind and the counterweight used ... but is likely to avoid using the finest (of bottom-most) of the legs, so you might have to stoop. Overall it seems that it takes a step in the GT-0530. Another thing that may help is to do something head like an Arca Swiss to complement your installation ... a light but super strong (and very expensive.) If you end up not carrying a tripod, consider a Joby Gorilla-pod ... is better than nothing.
