assistance needed to create a custom program as a gift for my boyfriend?
I am a beginner when it comes to programming, then the idea that the program wants to create. All i need is to know what type of procedure to follow or what programs I use or language or whatever, then I will cope with some self-help books .. Thank you! I want to be a facility that is like a game (a bit like the sims) with me and the apartment where I live. I want to have a representation of each part of the house and my room. and add a few twists bit like when you go to my closet in my room you can see the clothes he has and then an album on my desk Gallery with all my photos of child, etc. .. Basically I want it represents all things to do in my daily life and things I care about. So it would be very simple, could dress my own clothes, if desired. could look around in my room and as he looks around the open things and reveals details of its more .. a little blurry i know, but the idea is fuzzy in my head so sorry =)
I have given this thought. Programming a game to do what you have described is time consuming. Unless you have the patience of a saint and are willing to wait several months to present to him, I like to try a different strategy. If to do this in programming, I would use flash technology. Even then, it will be slow and tedious. Heres my suggestion after giving this a thought. HTML is a language ideal for a beginner to use. Look at what is called image maps. What you could do is create an image (or even real pictures) of his life and maps image used to make certain parts of those images clickable. In reality, the links will take you to a different page that has a different image. For example, he sees a photo of your bedroom. There is an image map that makes your box clickable. After clicking it, is taken to another image that is an image the inside of your drawer. Try google for "HTML image maps. Try it. I hope it is great.
