What is a digital SLR camera and a digital compact with replacements?
I will take a basic photography course at the local university and the class requires a DSLR or compact digital replacements. How do I know if my camera has these features. I have a Panasonic Lumix DMC-LZ2 camera digital which was purchased in 2005. The camera has optical image stabilization, which alleviates the problems of camera shake. The camera lacks manual control on the shutter speed and aperture and has no optical viewfinder. This is all I know about the camera.
Your camera then does not qualify. The overides means you can control shutter speed, aperture and ISO. Since there can not satisfy the rule. I looked at an entry level DSLR like a Canon Rebel XS or XSi or a Nikon D40 or D60. Prices start at $ 500 with a lens.
Sony, Panasonic Camera combines small size with SLR features has been a year since Panasonic debuted the first digital camera that combines the strength of a point and shoot, with the flexibility of interchangeable lenses. The Lumix G1 kick-started a new segment in the camera market, which this week saw a new model Panasonic and the second showing of a prototype camera from Sony.
