What is the origin of the width of 4.5 inches of rolled perforated toilet paper?
Pat rolled perforated toilet paper. published 7/25/1871 not specify the width. In Scott Paper became the market leader in the 1880s, but do not believe that Waldorf mark was 4.5 inches wide. When and how the industry standard of 4.5 inches (4 inches, why not?).
That's an excellent question, have you tried contacting the manufacturer, I could not find any information with a quick look at the website.
