Should I get Canon PowerShot SD1000 package? 10pts?
SD1000 The package is like $ 180 and includes: The real camera 1 Gigabyte Secure Digital Memory Card. 14-in-1 USB Memory Card Reader. AC / DC Rapid Battery Charger. Sounds like the camera is reformed. So really would not recommend to get the SD1000 because now is an old model (released in early 2007) and also lacks IS (stabilizer image). All recent Canon models now have is that it is better. I recommend you get something new as the SD1200 IS (which costs less than U.S. $ 200). It is a better overall camera than the older SD1000. House packages are usually a waste of money. SD Memory Cards or SDHC are cheap to buy. You will need a very fast (category 4 or 6-speed) something like the Sandisk Ultra II and Extreme III. What type of card has the package? 1 GB of capacity is not much, so we recommend you get 2-4GB in place (especially if you want to record videos). The camera normally comes with its own battery, so you do not need an extra one. But, as the camera is probably renovated home is the battery might not be as good. Who knows ... The battery usually only takes about 2 hours to fully charge. You can load at any time, so you can give it a quick top up if necessary. A mini tripod, you can probably buy a little money (if you REALLY need it).
